As part of the Graines de Boss 2023 competition, the Var Chamber of Commerce and Industry has selected five promising young companies. Among them is HY-Plug, run by Camille Lopez, a company specialising in maritime energy transition. In this interview, Camille Lopez shares her vision, her ambitions and HY-Plug's expectations for its participation in this prestigious competition.
"The Graines de Boss competition is aimed at start-ups less than 5 years old. The Var Chamber of Commerce and Industry, a partner in this 2023 edition of the competition, which is being held at departmental level for the first time, has selected five companies. Among them is HY-Plug, run by Camille Lopez, who answers three questions.
Can you give us a quick overview of your company?
HY-Plug is a maritime energy transition consultancy. We offer support and market research services for hydrogen, electric, bio-fuel and bio-methanol technologies. We work for yachts and ports.
What are the prospects for development in the short and medium term?
In the short term, the aim is to continue our commercial development by working with more ports on these energy transition issues. Also, following the creation of HY-Plug Monaco, we are aiming to develop the content of our training courses for yachting professionals.
What do you hope to gain from taking part in the Graines de Boss competition?
Mainly the extra visibility that the company could gain through this competition. But also the contacts provided by the Graines de Boss concept, which would be a major advantage for HY-Plug. This competition would also be a step forward in terms of recognition at a regional level."
