On December 10th, we gathered at the restaurant of the Société Nautique de Monaco for a new edition of the Club Business Sport , under the sign of wind, the sea... and responsible innovation.

In the spotlight this evening: Clément Giraud , professional skipper and Vendée Globe finisher, who passionately shared with us the behind-the-scenes stories of ocean racing and the challenges of solo sailing around the world.

From competition to energy transition

After Clément's intervention, we had the pleasure of taking the floor to establish a striking parallel between competitive sailing and industrial decarbonization .

In both universes, the objectives are similar:

  • Working on ship efficiency

  • Reduce energy needs

  • Thinking about the use of new energies

Like skippers, manufacturers must deal with technical, environmental, and logistical constraints to rethink their way of sailing—whether crossing an ocean... or running a global supply chain.

A shared vision: innovating to move forward better

This evening was an opportunity to recall that the challenges of energy transition are cross-cutting , and that certain practices from the world of high-level sport can inspire concrete solutions in highly technical sectors, such as maritime.

At HY-Plug, we firmly believe that performance and sustainability can go hand in hand , provided we cooperate, innovate, and above all... share best practices.

Many thanks to Clément Giraud for his authentic testimony, to the Société Nautique de Monaco for its welcome, and to all those present for these rich and inspiring exchanges.

⛵ Heading for 2025, with ever more… clean energy!
