HY-Plug participated in an exclusive event organized by the Barcelona Clúster Nàutic , bringing together key players in the blue economy. An evening of discussions around the future of sustainable boating, marked by the intervention of our founder, Camille Lopez .

A revealing study on sustainable energy in nautical sports

Invited as an expert on the maritime energy transition, Camille Lopez presented the results of a study conducted by HY-Plug, focusing on the adoption of alternative energy sources in the recreational boating industry. One key figure stood out: 85% of respondents said they are considering using alternative fuels on their vessels in the short term . This is a clear sign of change underway in the sector.

A constructive exchange with port stakeholders

During a cross-dialogue with Jordi Vila Martínez , representative of the Barcelona Port Authority, several concrete issues were addressed:

  • the feasibility of port infrastructure to accommodate these new energies,

  • regulatory constraints,

  • the necessary collaboration between industrialists, ports and energy companies.

Camille Lopez provided valuable insight into these topics, sharing HY-Plug's field experience and solutions already implemented on other European projects.

A moment of meetings and commitment

The conference concluded with a networking session between members of the Bluetech port , over a friendly aperitif organized by EVOLUTION Yacht Agents . This was an opportunity to forge new collaborations to advance sustainable boating together.
