ICOMIA World Marinas Conference 2025: HY-Plug at the heart of marina decarbonization

From February 8 to 11, 2025, HY-Plug was present at the ICOMIA World Marinas Conference in Venice, one of the most prestigious events for international marina stakeholders.

For us, this was our fourth time participating in a major international conference , but this edition will remain memorable: between conferences, marina visits and intense networking, the experience was exceptional.

Speaker in front of 500 people

Camille had the honor of presenting to an audience of 500 people on the topic of maritime decarbonization . Alongside Karl-Oskar Tjernström and Franco Ceroici, she shared insights from 18 months of strategic study with the Port of Monaco and 12 months with the Port of Saint-Tropez .

For 10 minutes, the topics discussed were:

• The concrete results of the studies conducted

• The current energy distribution (petrol, diesel, hybrid)

• The relevance of integrating biofuel, hydrogen, methanol and electrical solutions

The reaction from the management of international marinas was enthusiastic: "Thank you for bringing these decarbonization issues to the table," "It's rare to be so clear on such complex topics"... and all this at only 28 years old!

Exceptional networking

The event brought together 500 hand-picked participants : CEOs, directors, C-levels and vice-presidents of international marinas.

The networking was simple and smooth, a real pleasure for exchanging ideas and building connections:

• Discussions about family, careers, and even summer holidays during bus journeys

• Lunches and networking sessions directly on the boats, with tables and chairs set up to facilitate interaction

• Speed and efficiency: a contact met at 7:30 am could already deliver a strategic introduction 1 hour and 30 minutes later

Concrete insights and tips

On stage, Camille was able to share some “behind-the-scenes” insights into the projects carried out for the Port of Monaco and Saint-Tropez, giving participants actionable advice on the energy transition in marinas.

The goal? To inspire participants and open the door to future collaborations between HY-Plug and international marinas through the power of a conference and real-life encounters.
